Under the patronage of Darulfatwa Australia, the Australian Islamic African Association held its annual Mawlid celebration to commemorate the blessed birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The event brought together members of the African Muslim community, alongside Muslims from diverse cultural backgrounds, in an atmosphere of joy, unity, and spiritual reflection.
The gathering provided an opportunity for attendees to express their love and appreciation for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ while reflecting on the values of mercy, compassion, respect, and peaceful coexistence that are central to his teachings.
The program featured a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by Islamic nasheeds and praises in honour of the Prophet ﷺ performed by a group of male and female students. A number of speeches and community contributions further enriched the uplifting and spiritual atmosphere of the occasion.
The Mawlid address was delivered by Sheikh Ahmed Bah, President of the Association, who highlighted key aspects of the life and noble character of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He emphasised the importance of following the Prophet’s guidance and embodying his values in everyday life through good character, community service, and positive engagement with society.
Sheikh Bah noted that love for the Prophet ﷺ is reflected not only in words but also in actions, encouraging attendees to uphold the principles of kindness, mercy, and peace in their relationships and contributions to the wider community.
The celebration was attended by community leaders, respected guests, families, and members of the wider Muslim community, reflecting the diversity, harmony, and strong sense of belonging that characterise Sydney multicultural society.
At the conclusion of the event, the Australian Islamic African Association expressed its sincere appreciation to all guests, attendees, volunteers, and supporters whose efforts contributed to the success of the celebration.
الجمعية الإسلامية الأفريقية الأسترالية تحتفل بالمولد النبوي الشريف
تحت رعاية دار الفتوى في أستراليا ، نظّمت الجمعية الإسلامية الأفريقية الأسترالية احتفالها السنوي بمناسبة ذكرى المولد النبوي الشريف في غيلفورد ، وسط أجواءٍ مفعمة بالفرح والروحانية، وبمشاركة واسعة من أبناء الجالية الأفريقية والمسلمين من مختلف الخلفيات الثقافية.
وشكّل الاحتفال مناسبةً مباركةً للتعبير عن المحبة والاعتزاز بسيدنا محمد ﷺ، واستحضار معاني الرحمة والتسامح والتآخي التي دعا إليها، بما يعزز قيم التعايش الإيجابي والتعاون بين أفراد المجتمع.
وتضمّن برنامج الاحتفال تلاوةً مباركةً من آيات الذكر الحكيم، تلتها فقرات من الأناشيد والمدائح النبوية قدّمها عدد من الطلاب والطالبات، إضافة إلى كلمات ومشاركات متنوعة أضفت على المناسبة أجواءً من البهجة والإيمان.
وألقى رئيس الجمعية، الشيخ أحمد باه، كلمة المولد النبوي الشريف، فتناول جوانب من السيرة العطرة للنبي محمد ﷺ وأخلاقه الكريمة، مؤكداً أهمية الاقتداء بهديه والتمسك بتعاليمه في مختلف جوانب الحياة. كما شدد على أن اتباع النبي ﷺ نهج حياة ، وهي التزامٌ عمليٌّ ينعكس في الأخلاق الحسنة، وخدمة المجتمع، وتعزيز قيم الخير والسلام والرحمة بين الناس.
وشهد الاحتفال حضور عدد من الشخصيات المجتمعية والضيوف وأبناء الجالية، في مشهد يعكس الوحدة والتنوع والانسجام التي تتميز بها الجالية الإسلامية في أستراليا.
وفي ختام المناسبة، أعربت الجمعية الإسلامية الأفريقية الأسترالية عن خالص شكرها وتقديرها لجميع الضيوف والحضور والمتطوعين والداعمين الذين ساهموا في تنظيم وإنجاح هذا الاحتفال المبارك، سائلةً الله تعالى أن يعيد هذه المناسبة العطرة على الجميع بالخير واليُمن والبركات
