The Islamic Charity Projects Association (ICPA) held its annual celebration marking the blessed occasion of the Mawlid – the birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, bringing together members of Perth’s diverse Muslim communities in a warm and uplifting atmosphere of faith, joy and unity.
The celebration welcomed Muslims from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, providing an opportunity to express love and joy for the birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ while strengthening the values of brotherhood, community connection, cooperation and mutual respect.
The program featured a beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur’an, traditional Islamic chants and praises of the Prophet, as well as number of speeches and community contributions, adding to the spiritual and celebratory atmosphere of the occasion.
Sheikh Khaled El Saj delivered the Mawlid address, reflecting on the life, noble character and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and highlighting the importance of following his example in our everyday lives.
He emphasised that love for the Prophet ﷺ should be reflected not only in our words, but also through good character, compassion, kindness to others. He also highlighted the importance of promoting goodness, mercy, and peace throughout the wider Australian community.
The celebration was attended by a number of distinguished guests, community representatives and members of various organisations, alongside members of Perth’s diverse Muslim communities.
The Islamic Charity Projects Association Perth extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to all guests, community members, volunteers and everyone who contributed to organising and making this year’s Mawlid celebration a successful and memorable occasion.

قامت جمعية المشاريع الخيرية الإسلامية في بيرث احتفالها السنوي بمناسبة ذكرى المولد النبوي الشريف، في أجواء إيمانية مميزة، وبمشاركة واسعة من أبناء مختلف الجاليات والثقافات الإسلامية في غرب أستراليا.
وجمع هذا الاحتفال المبارك المسلمين من خلفيات وجنسيات متعددة، في مناسبة عبّرت عن المحبة والفرح بمولد سيدنا محمد ﷺ، ورسّخت قيم الأخوة والتآلف والتعاون والتواصل بين أبناء المجتمع.
وتضمن برنامج الاحتفال تلاوة عطرة من آيات القرآن الكريم، إلى جانب الأناشيد والمدائح النبوية، فضلاً عن الكلمات والمشاركات التي أضفت على المناسبة أجواءً من الفرح.
وألقى الشيخ خالد الصاج كلمة المولد، تناول فيها جوانب من سيرة النبي محمد ﷺ وأخلاقه العظيمة، مؤكداً أهمية الاقتداء بهديه وتعاليمه في حياتنا اليومية. كما شدد على أن محبة النبي ﷺ لا تقتصر على المشاعر، بل تتجلى في أخلاق المسلم وسلوكه وتعاملاته مع الآخرين، وفي نشر الخير والرحمة والسلام داخل المجتمع.
وشهد الاحتفال حضور عدد من الشخصيات والضيوف وممثلي المؤسسات والجهات المجتمعية، إلى جانب أبناء مختلف الجاليات الإسلامية، في مشهد يعكس التنوع والتآلف والوحدة التي يتميز بها المجتمع المسلم في مدينة بيرث.
وفي ختام المناسبة، تتقدم جمعية المشاريع الخيرية الإسلامية بخالص الشكر والتقدير إلى جميع الضيوف والحضور والمتطوعين، وإلى كل من ساهم في تنظيم وإنجاح هذا الاحتفال المبارك، سائلين الله تعالى أن يعيده على الجميع بالخير والبركة.
