The ICPA pays due attention to the interests of women and youth in the Australian Muslim community. This has led to the establishment of a number of institutions catering for their different needs through activities and programs centered on raising self-esteem and improving wellbeing.

Women

The role and status of women is highly regarded in Islam. To celebrate their achievements, the ICPA founded the Muslim Women’s Welfare of Australia (MWWA) in 2005. Its focus is to empower Muslim women by encouraging social interaction, providing access to religious and cultural education, and challenging them to achieve their full potential.

MWWA organized seminars, Ramadan dinners (Iftar), personal development programs and other social activities to promote the value of women. Prominent campaigns included, ‘White Ribbon Day Awareness’ encouraging conversation about the pressing issue of domestic violence and the ‘International Women’s Day’ luncheon, which included an awards ceremony to recognize the achievements of women.

The ICPA takes advantage of every opportunity to endorse the achievements of Muslim women. In recent years, several women received awards from various official bodies in recognition of their efforts in assisting the Australian community. The ICPA will remain loyal to the plights of women and active in providing women with facilities to enhance their quality of life.

Youth

Youth radicalisation is a growing concern of the era. The ICPA is well equipped with the knowledge and methodology to protect the youth from the terrorising consequences of radicalisation. The ICPA has been in pursuit of this goal for decades, assisting community groups in the establishment of a number of organisations and clubs attracting young Australian Muslims.

These include, Spears Sports Club, Scouts Group, and Australian Muslim Youth League. Each of these bodies provides a unique service catering for males and females from four to twenty-five years of age.

These bodies draw the youth to beneficial pass times and vaccinate the young against radical ideologies with pure religious awareness. Through these establishments, young Australian Muslims engage in activities including, boot camps; scouting; recreation; sport competitions on local, state and national levels, and competitions in the sciences, skills and talents.

Through these mindful strategies, the ICPA has effectively raised their self-worth, image and morale and enriched young Muslim Australians with the knowledge and culture of Islam and Australia. The ICPA has ushered the young generation of Australian Muslims into a better future.
